When booking you agree to our terms and conditions.
​1. INTRODUCTION
1.1 This Rental Agreement (the "Agreement") is made today, on the day of the booking, between:
• A. Arvika Kanot och Turistcenter (the "Lessor"), registered with company number: 556317-7988, and
• B. The Customer (referred to as "Customer").
1.2 The Lessor and the Customer are collectively referred to as the "Parties" and individually as a "Party". For clarity, the Lessor is referred to as the "Lessor" and the Customer as the "Customer".
1.3 The Lessor agrees to rent equipment to the Customer as specified in the Agreement.
1.4 The Customer agrees to pay the Lessor according to the terms outlined in the Agreement.
1.5 Upon entering into this Agreement, the Lessor will send a booking confirmation to the Customer via email.

2. RESPONSIBILITIES
2.1 The Lessor is responsible for providing necessary safety equipment, such as life jackets for canoe or kayak rentals and bicycle helmets for bike rentals. The Customer is responsible for ensuring the proper use of this equipment.
2.2 If the rental involves a canoe or kayak, the Customer guarantees that they are able to swim.
2.3 The Customer is responsible for presenting valid identification at the time of rental.
2.4 The Customer and any other individuals in their party use the rented equipment at their own risk. The Lessor is not responsible for any damage caused during the rental period, including damage to the Customer or to third parties, whether those third parties are part of the Customer’s group or not.
2.5 The Lessor is not obligated to provide a refund if the Customer does not use the equipment at the time of rental, unless due to negligence by the Lessor or external conditions that make the use of the equipment unsafe. The Lessor will assess whether external factors make the use of the equipment safe.
2.6 If the equipment is used by more than the Customer, the Customer assumes full responsibility for the safety of all other users.
2.7 The Customer is liable for compensation in the event of damaged or lost equipment.

3. PERSONAL DATA MANAGEMENT
3.1 The Lessor is responsible for processing the Customer’s personal data in compliance with data protection regulations. The Lessor processes personal data for the purpose of managing the rental agreement, with the contract serving as the legal basis for processing. Personal data processed includes the Customer’s email address, phone number, and name to facilitate identification and the rental process.
3.2 Personal data is stored with Out Ventures, the provider of the booking system and data processor on behalf of the Lessor. The Customer's personal data will not be shared with third parties unless necessary and will only be shared after the Customer has given explicit consent.
3.3 The Customer has the right to contact the Lessor regarding the following rights under data protection laws:
• Right to be informed about the processing of personal data.
• Right to access their personal data.
• Right to request correction of inaccurate personal data.
• Right to request deletion of personal data ("right to be forgotten").
• Right to request restriction of processing.
• Right to data portability.
• Right to object to the processing of personal data.
• Right not to be subject to automated decision-making.
• The right to lodge a complaint with the Data Protection Authority if the Customer believes their personal data has been processed incorrectly.

2. Prices
All prices listed include VAT in Swedish kronor. The shopping cart will display the total price, including VAT, shipping, and any payment fees.

3.1 Payment
Payment is made via the chosen payment method at checkout. Payment services are provided by Bambora and its partners.
3.2 Card Payments
Visa, MasterCard, and Maestro are accepted. Payment for debit cards is processed immediately.
3.3 Swish Payments

4.3 Damaged Goods and Complaints
Before starting the activity, it is important to check that the rented equipment is not damaged or faulty. If the product is damaged or defective, the Customer is entitled to a replacement (subject to availability) or a full refund.
The Customer is responsible for taking proper care of the equipment. In case of negligence or theft, the Customer is liable for compensation for any damage or loss.

5. Right of Withdrawal and Open Purchase
Paid bookings are non-refundable within 14 days before the tour start. However, bookings can be rescheduled up to six hours before the rental time, provided that the "Weather Guarantee" (rebooking protection) is purchased. A full refund will be provided in cases of weather conditions that make the activity unsafe or unsuitable, such as thunderstorms, storms, or other dangerous weather conditions. In case of illness, a full refund will be issued upon presentation of a valid medical certificate.
6. Cancellation Policy
6.1 Normal Cancellation Rules
The Customer has the right to cancel their trip against a cancellation fee, as outlined below:
• More than 60 days before tour start: A cancellation fee of 15% of the total tour price.
• Between 59 and 15 days before tour start: A cancellation fee of 25% of the total tour price.
• Between 14 days and 48 hours before tour start: A cancellation fee of 50% of the total tour price.
• Less than 48 hours before tour start: The full tour price must be paid.
6.2 Cancellation Due to Bad Weather or Voluntary Stop
Cancellation due to adverse weather conditions or any voluntary decision to stop the tour does not entitle the Customer to a refund.
6.3 Returning Early
If the Customer returns earlier than planned, no refund will be provided. The Customer may keep the rented equipment for the duration of the original contract.
6.4 Emergency Support
Arvika Kanot & Turistcenter provides assistance 24 hours a day. The Customer will receive an emergency contact number along with the tour description upon arrival.
6.5 Cancellation Due to Bad Weather or Other Circumstances
In the event that the tour needs to be cancelled due to bad weather, illness, injury, or other unforeseen circumstances, the Lessor can arrange for transportation back to Arvika Kanot & Turistcenter within 24 hours. This transport is at the Customer’s expense and is not included in the tour price. The cost will be calculated based on the distance travelled.
In some cases, a local taxi company may be engaged for transportation. In such instances, the transport will be priced at the same rate as if the Lessor handled the transport directly.

6. Personal Data Processing

10.1 Force Majeure
Force majeure events such as war, strikes, blockades, fire, environmental disasters, pandemics, or any other circumstances beyond the control of a Party that prevent that Party from fulfilling its obligations will release the affected Party from their responsibilities. If such events occur, the affected Party must notify the other Party as soon as possible.

10.2 Amendments to Terms
Once a Customer has completed a purchase, the Lessor cannot alter the terms of the Agreement unless mutually agreed upon by both Parties.

10.3 Disputes & Governing Law
Swedish law governs all purchases under these terms and conditions. Any disputes will be resolved by the competent Swedish general court.

Appendix 1: Personal Data Processing
Arvika Kanot och Turistcenter (org. no. 556317-7988) processes personal data in accordance with applicable data protection laws. This data is primarily used for the following purposes:
• To create and maintain your personal account
• To process orders and deliver goods
• To handle returns
• To send notifications about booking status
• To respond to inquiries and inform you of updates to services
