For the adventure seeking and the solitude craving Lillälven has something great to offer. The tour will start you off in an area almost in the middle of nowhere. As the week goes by you will slowly return to civilization. You will paddle through several wilderness lakes where you find a lot of great places to camp for the night for example on one of the many beautiful islands. During the trip, you will pass some small villages where you can fill up your provisions or stay and have a coffee or an ice cream.

This tour is suitable for those who are looking for solitude in the wilderness. You will go through the Glaskogen nature reserve which is surrounded by vast forests and transparent lakes. There are beautiful canoeing routes passing through several of the 80 lakes situated in the reserve, with great fishing opportunities and unique nature experiences. You can camp in the area, spend the night under the open sky or sleep in a wind shelter.

This tour is characterized by lake paddling and you will spend almost all time in this calm and beautiful area. Lake Värmeln has given the province Värmland its name and is famous for its wilderness touch and beautiful islands on which you can find graves from the Vikings. Värmeln is a large lake so there are a lot of places for camping and resting. There are both prepared wind shelters and natural camping places.

This is an easy tour that is suited well to those with less canoeing experience or families with children. Starting in lake of Skjervangen in Norway, the tour follows the sinuous Köla river through the lakes Hugn and Ränken and all the way to the centre at Ingestrand.

B Rinnen and E Värmeln offer a shortcut.

Taking the shortcut, these tours are doable in 5 days instead of 7 days.

Generally the 7-day trips are doable in 6 days. The distances are around 100km for the 7-day tours and they consider 4-5 hours of canoeing time per day, plus the time for the land transports (different each day). You could canoe a bit more each day and make the distance in 6 days.

The price does not change when you do the tour in less than 7 days.

On Adventure Island, a wonderful 14 acres wooded area you can live almost like Robinson Crusoe, isolated but not too far from the civilisation at the same time.

 

You can rent a plot on the island, which will be your own camping area and the base for your canoe excursions into surrounding waters. The lake where the island is situated is about 6 km long and you can make excursions to other lakes around.

On the island there is 3 plots. Maximun persons on the island 12.
