The tour begins in the southern part of the natural reserve of Glaskogen and follows the Lillälven river, which passes through a few lakes in the middle of the wilderness before going into the river Byälven. Then, it continues on to Lake Glafsfjorden to end at the canoe centre.

This tour is suitable for those who are looking for solitude in the wilderness. You will go through the natural reserve of Glaskogen which is surrounded by vast forests and transparent lakes. There are beautiful canoeing routes passing through several of the 80 lakes situated in the reserve, with great fishing opportunities and unique nature experiences. Try to camp in the area, spend the night under the open sky, sleep in a windbreak or use any overnight cabins.

Like the Rinnen tour, the Värmeln tour offers a very nice tour of the lake Värmeln, which lends its name to our region. It is a quiet and unknown area where you can find many remote islands, as well as very good shopping facilities. This trip has at least two land transports and maximum four.

This is an easy tour that is suited well to those with less canoeing experience or families with children. Starting in lake of Skjervangen in Norway, the tour follows the sinuous Köla river through the lakes Hugn and Ränken and all the way to the centre at Ingestrand.

Beginning in the lake Rinnen, the route follows the Brunsberg river down to Lake Värmeln - a beautiful lake considered to have given its name to Värmland itself. A tour where you'll see almost no houses but discover a multitude of little islands.

A three-day tour that is considered easy. This tour is the last part of the one-week tour Jösse älv. You will switch from rivers to lakes and you will have a good chance to see some beavers.

A three-day tour that suits families with children. This tour is the last part of the one-week tour Köla älv. The tour follows the sinuous river Köla and then through the lakes Hugn and Nysocken, or Ränken.

If you think about planing a canoe tour that should be 4,5 or 6 days long, we have the following options for you:

Cut a 7 day tour short

B Rinnen and E Värmeln offer a shortcut.

Taking the shortcut, these tours are doable in 5 days instead of 7 days.

Generally the 7-day trips are doable in 6 days. The distances are around 100km for the 7-day tours and they consider 4-5 hours of canoeing time per day, plus the time for the land transports (different each day). You could canoe a bit more each day and make the distance in 6 days.

The price does not change when you do the tour in less than 7 days.

Would you like to enjoy a different kind of holiday with your children?

On Adventure Island, a wonderful 14 acres wooded area you can live almost like Robinson Crusoe, isolated but not too far from the civilisation at the same time.

 

You can rent a plot on the island, which will be your own camping area and the base for your canoe excursions into surrounding waters. The lake where the island is situated is about 6 km long and you can make excursions to other lakes around.

On the island there is 3 plots. Maximun persons on the island 12.
